    About the Position

    This position plays a critical role in ensuring the success of students at Broward College. As a Student Success Coach, you will provide direct service and support to prospective, current, and former students from application through paid enrollment in their first semester. You will work closely with students to develop a first-term academic plan that addresses their interests, skills, and abilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Daily - 25%: Student Engagement and Planning Engage students in academic and career planning assessments, interpret those assessments, and assist in developing a first-term academic plan that addresses their interests, skills, and abilities.
    • Daily - 25%: Application Review and Compliance Collect, review, and assess applications and related documents for compliance and eligibility for admission. Determine if testing is required and inform students.
    • Daily - 15%: FAFSA and Next Generation Application Support Assist students in ensuring deadlines are met for completing the FAFSA and additional required documents if selected for verification and completion of the Next Generation application.
    • Daily - 10%: Lead Assistance and Advising Provide lead assistance to Admissions & Registration Specialists and Admissions Officers. Facilitate advising for students at New Student Orientation sessions.
    • Per Term - 10%: First Year Experience Sessions and Advising Schedule and monitor First Year Experience sessions and advising appointments, as applicable. Assist with updates and revisions to student services and academic affairs materials and multimedia presentations.
    • Weekly - 10%: Transcript Evaluation and Monitoring Review transcripts to ensure eligibility for admission to a specific college or program. Monitor the receipt of all applicable official transcripts and collaborate with transcript evaluators for timely evaluation.
    • Other - 5%: Related Duties Perform related duties as assigned.
