    Overview

    We are in search of a skilled CNC Machinist / CNC programmer to join our expanding team. This individual will be responsible for producing machined parts through programming, setting up, and operating a CNC machine. The role involves maintaining quality and safety standards, record-keeping, equipment maintenance, and supply management. Bring your expertise to the table, lead, and inspire team members to achieve the best outcomes.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate multiple machines to meet production targets.
    • Plan machining processes according to work orders and engineering plans.
    • Oversee stock inventory, place orders, and ensure timely material delivery.
    • Coordinate with other departments for smooth production flow.
    • Modify mill and lathe programs, configure tool parameters, and determine requirements.
    • Set up mills and lathes, including tool alignment and installation.
    • Load materials and validate settings with precision.
    • Ensure adherence to quality standards, troubleshoot processes, and comply with safety regulations.
    • Utilize micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools for precision checks.
    • Record actions, maintain production logs, and foster effective cross-shift communication.
    • Stay abreast of industry developments.
    • Contribute to the attainment of organizational objectives and explore avenues to enhance job value.
    • Maintain a neat and organized work space.

    Additional Duties

    • Acquire proficiency in operating CNC metal spinning machines.
    • Carry out routine maintenance and requisition annual maintenance as necessary.
    • Provide training on machine shop practices and procedures to future staff members.
    • Operate manual lathe & mill when required.
    • Assist in fixture design and creation.
    • Support the R & D team in unique design projects.

    Qualifications

    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in CNC machining, preferably with Haas CNC controllers.
    • Desired Experience: Familiarity with Metal Spinning, Y-Axis Lathe, 4th Axis Mill, Machine Shop Management, and CAM software.
    • Education: High school diploma/GED.
    • Skills: Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Gsuite is advantageous. Basic math competency is required.
