    Northside Hospital Atlanta is seeking an experienced

    Travel Medical Physicist

    to support its Cancer Center.

    This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate delivery of radiation therapy through quality assurance, treatment planning support, and equipment calibration.

    The Medical Physicist will collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, therapists, and clinical staff to maintain the highest standards of patient care.

    Responsibilities

    Perform quality assurance testing of radiation therapy equipment
    Support treatment planning and dose calculations
    Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards
    Assist in commissioning and calibration of medical devices
    Collaborate with interdisciplinary oncology teams
    Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
    Provide technical guidance related to radiation safety and procedures
    Schedule & Contract Details

    Schedule:
    Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
    No on-call requirement
    Guaranteed weekly hours
    Daily overtime after 24 hours (based on multiplier)
    Weekly overtime after 40 hours (based on multiplier)
    Pricing negotiations permitted
    Requirements

    Minimum of 2 years of experience within the specialty
    Active and valid Medical Physicist credentials (as required by facility/state)
    BLS Certification (Required)
    Strong knowledge of radiation therapy systems and protocols
    Ability to work independently in a fast-paced oncology environment

    No local candidates will be accepted within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
