    Mechanical Design Engineer

    Description: A Mechanical Design Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT. This is a full-time direct job with benefits. Great matching candidates will have at least two years of mechanical design engineering experience with gas turbine engines and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. You will be working closely with the aerospace component development process relating to gas turbine engines.

    Mechanical Design Engineer job duties:

    Solid part modeling and drafting using CAD NX, Solidworks

    Perform geometric tolerance studies

    Perform structural analysis hand calculations

    Complete tasks using customer standard work

    Mentor and oversee less experienced design engineers

    Create and present at customer design reviews

    Qualifications:

    Two or more years of experience in mechanical design engineering within aerospace

    Bachelor"s or Master"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

    Proficiency in NX CAD software

    Gas turbine engine experience

    Ability to work within an integrated product development team

    Strong interpersonal skills

    US Citizen required due to nature of work

    Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain

    Desired but not required skills:

    Experience with Quality Non-Conformances

    Skills with ANSYS Classic and/or Workbench

    Solidworks experience is a plus

    We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $75,00 to $ 114,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.'
