    As a trusted partner, Converge Technology Solutions is helping our client identify, screen and secure an
    IT Support Specialist to join our client in Aurora, North Carolina.

    This is an onsite position, Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week.

    You will be responsible for performing software/hardware installations and support, troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office issues, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of all types of computers and peripheral hardware including: PCs, Laptops and docking stations, monitors, printers and network cabling etc.

    Light administrative duties and errands will also be required. This position will provide overall support to the IT department.

    Responsibilities

    • Availability to work 40 hours per week;
    • Customer service and hands on practical experience with MS Windows 10, MS Office;
    • Assist with the disposal of unneeded PC and printer equipment
    • Capacity to provide PC, tablet, and systems support (including printer and Smart Phone) in a timely and thorough manner;
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, an aptitude for problem solving, and the ability to work in a team environment.
    • Willingness to accept assignments and special projects as needed;
    • Ability to take direction while working under tight deadlines;
    • Position will require physical activity, including lifting computers, monitors, and printers;
    • Perform other duties as required.

    Safety

    • While working on the client site, you must adhere to all safety practices and procedures and work with the Computer Network Specialist to become familiar with any changes or to get answers to any questions.
    • Report any unsafe conditions that are observed to any member of the IT departments staff so they can be addressed as soon as possible.
    • Provide input during safety meetings on any improvements that we can implement to enhance the IT departments safety performance.
    • Assist with housekeeping in the IT departments workspaces by breaking down unused boxes or removing old equipment, etc.
