Job summary
Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselors help individuals and families through rehabilitation and recovery from drugs, alcohol,
and other substance and behavioral addictions.
The primary responsibility is to design and manage personalized recovery plans,
assist clients in identifying negative behaviors,
and teach preventative measures to reduce relapse risk.
Counseling may occur one-on-one or in group settings,
with the ultimate goal of supporting clients in achieving sobriety
and self-sufficiency.
