Job summary
The AssistantPurchasing Manager is responsible for supporting the execution of store based Merchandising responsibilities including managing VCAs and BAs and overseeing the vehicle assessment/verification processes inventory management and store-based CarMax auctions if applicable.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Associates effectively including setting expectations providing feedback to support their development managing conflict and delegating to support the team's goals.
- Evaluate and negotiate current market prices understand research assess vehicle damage subsequent costs involved with damage make financially sound purchasing decisions for company through customer appraisals offsite auctions or online venues.
