JOB SUMMARY

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a Physician Assistant to join the EP Team in Temple, Texas. Our facilities are nationally and regionally recognized for providing safe and compassionate care. We are in search of a dedicated team player with a strong work history. The ideal candidate should prioritize quality and excel in collaborating with healthcare professionals to offer top-notch patient care within our award-winning integrated healthcare system.

The Physician Assistant Medical Specialty is a licensed healthcare provider who delivers direct patient care under supervision. The role involves assessing patient conditions, ordering tests, prescribing treatments, and developing patient care plans within the specified medical specialty.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Assess patient conditions through physical examinations and medical histories
Order and assess diagnostic tests
Prescribe treatments and therapies
Develop patient treatment plans
Provide patient counseling
Maintain accurate patient records
Offer consultation services within the specialty
Manage patients in various healthcare settings
Perform specific procedures as delegated
Adapt patient care duties based on department needs

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

Deep understanding of healthcare diagnosis and treatment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in using relevant software
Capacity to create effective patient treatment plans
Current PA license in Texas
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
NCCPA certification

SCHEDULE-Monday – Friday 8-5 with the potential to transition to 4/10s post training.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION - Graduate of an Accredited Program
EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
PA license in Texas
