HOURS:
Monday through Friday, 10:00am – 7:00pm
LOCATION:
Onsite at 220 Virginia Avenue, Indianapolis, IN.
Candidates must reside within 50 miles/1-hour commute of this location.
The Authorization Representative I is responsible for the completion and submission of appropriate forms for patients whose health plan requires drug prior authorization or reauthorizations for different therapy types.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Enters prior authorizations or reauthorizations into the portal and ensures accurate completion of authorization forms.
Submits completed authorization forms to the appropriate insurance plans.
Maintains log of all authorizations submitted.
Follows up with the patient's insurance company or physician office by phone, email, or spreadsheets on all submitted authorizations for patient approval/denial status.
Requires a HS diploma or GED and a minimum of 1 year of experience processing pharmacy prior authorizations.
Preferred Qualifications
Specialty pharmacy experience highly preferred.
Experience as a pharmacy tech is very helpful.
Experience completing authorization, start to finish, strongly preferred.
Experiencing reading scripts.
Test Claim experience preferred.
Familiarity with multiple health plans (Optum/CareMark/Alliance RX/etc).
