    Overall responsibilities and duties:

    The role of a Quality/Process Engineer is to manage the process of equipment - existing and purchases, tool design, tool build and tool try out, respecting objectives set in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery.


    The main missions of the role are:
    Be responsible for the successful completion of programs from receipt of order through a successful 'Run at Rate'Use the Advanced Product Quality Planning process to ensure objectives are metImplement process control programs to assure production of finished goods that meet or exceed customer requirementsTrack and report the status of the project, following the ratio of expenses against budget and monitoring quality, cost and delivery performance (i.e. presentations, meetings, customer visits¿)

    Facilitate training of all personnel on inspection methods, procedures, and company policies.
    Lead response to customer complaints, facilitating 8D and managing corrective actions related to determine quality activities required.
    Conduct multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from feasibility phase to post launch quality assessment and throughout production life.

    Facilitate Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) with Engineering in conjunction with advanced quality-planning activities and monitor the status throughout production life.

    Develop, implement and maintain Statistical Process Control techniques.
    Participate in the establishment and implementation of quality specifications, testing procedures, and standards for raw materials/process goods/finished goods.
    Develop, implement and maintain appropriate operation of inspection systems and sampling techniques.
    Develop and recommend inspection and sampling techniques and quality control plans.
    Develop process control procedures ensuring production of finished products meeting quality specifications and standards. Active participation in APQP and PPAP process.
    Assure compliance of the documented quality system (QS 9000 / IATF within assigned area and promote consistency throughout the organizationAssure compliance to customer requirements for all initial production part submissions.
    Assist in maintenance and analysis of Gage R&R's. Administrate Gage Calibration.
    Conduct investigations to determine causes of defects, make recommendations for corrective action. Determine which products can be reworked or scrapped. Monitor and lead efforts in the timely disposition of nonconforming product.
    Instruct and train personnel in techniques and use of audit and testing devices.
    Keep up to date documentation related to new equipment &toolingManage Engineer Change Requests (quoting, implementation, etc...)Ensure the new tooling equipment conforms with the Group's Health, Safety & Environment standardsValidate the tooling & equipment (Run at Rate)Contribute to the improvement of tooling standardsTrain the operators on the safe operation of new tooling &equipment, properly identified, and provide them with tooling & equipment instructionPropose and implement continuous productivity and quality improvement actions concerning subcontracting and tooling department servicesSubmit/implement at least two Continuous improvement ideas per monthCommitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia's Code of Ethics and Code of ManagementQualificationsThe ideal candidate will have/be:

    Minimum education level:
    Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experienceExperience:1 to 5 years of experience in the automotive industry1 to 5 years of experience in program/project managementSkills and competencies:Firm grasp of basic economic skills, including cost trackingWorking knowledge of quality systems and safety and environment practicesStrong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work in a matrix organizationFluent English language knowledge - written and spoken
