    Certified/Licensed Medical Radiological Technologist

    Certified/Licensed Medical Radiological Technologist who can perform prescribed procedures for inpatients and outpatients. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. This is a non-exempt position.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Clinical Radiology Support
      • Utilizes technical knowledge to provide quality diagnostic radiographs to aid the physician in a diagnosis.
      • Positions the patient appropriately to achieve the desired view.
      • Utilizes appropriate radiation safety techniques to protect both the patient and any assisting personnel.
      • Utilizes technical knowledge to develop all exposed radiographs to produce a quality diagnostic film.
      • Maintains all equipment; troubleshoots, and takes corrective action.
      • Assists Radiologist in all fluoroscopic procedures.
      • Maintains an accurate inventory level of radiology supplies.
      • Exhibits ability to completely provide services to the groups above in regards to development, communication, and data collection.
    • Quality Control
      • Performs quality control as appropriate to ensure integrity of equipment and techniques.
      • Schedules monthly processor cleaning and preventative maintenance.
      • Schedules appropriate calibrations and inspections as required.
      • Maintains appropriate documentation for State guidelines in the state where the facility resides.
      • Schedules patient exams and notifies assisting personnel.
    • Scheduling and Follow-up
      • Ensures tests are completed in a timely manner, and reports are sent to the requesting physician.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education and Training:
      • Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
      • Must have current Registration with ARRT (American Registration of Radiologic Technologists) and current State Radiologic Technologist license in the state where the facility resides.
      • Must have attended and received certification/licensing from an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
      • Must be able to read and write English at a high school level.
      • Must be able to utilize all equipment including radiographic machine, fluoroscopic machine, video recorder, darkroom processor film identification flasher, telephone, and computer.
