    Job Description

    This exciting opportunity is located in Springfield, MO, where you will work 80% in our local warehouse and 20% (or as needed) in our customer service department.

    Essential Functions:

    • Remove inbound freight from carrier and check for shipping damage.
    • Operate forklift and order-picker.
    • Use bar code scanners to handle all materials.
    • Report and assist with resolving discrepancies discovered in receiving and shipping.
    • Select and remove material from stock in accordance with order picking list.
    • Prepare material for shipment consistent with customer's, trucker's, or driver's requirements and balance and mark pallets.
    • Fulfill responsibilities for maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse.
    • Restock warehouse according to company guidelines and practices.
    • Learn required product and packaging information.
    • Understand warehouse storage system and products.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned in the warehouse.
    • Assist with will-call counter, writing up orders, answering emails, taking payment, and any other related duties assigned within the customer service department.

    • Ability to learn specific product and packaging information.
    • Strong computer skills.
    • Ability to operate industrial material handling equipment.
    • Strong work ethic.
    • Possess basic mathematical skills.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.
    • Self-motivated with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
    • Be able to lift or remove up to 50 pounds.
    • Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience, including experience operating a hi-lo; however, we are willing to train the right person.
    • Stand up Reach Forklift experience is a plus.
    • Manual dexterity is required for operating machinery.
    • Prior experience with the general public (customers) is a plus.
