Projects include:
ports, cargo terminals, shipyards, large and small marinas, port authority, and municipal.
In addition, you will work on new technologies and developing industries from microgrids to projects in the offshore wind industry Horizontal electrical design is different from that of buildings, commercial and industrial properties.
It will provide you with new knowledge, challenge, and career growth.We are looking forward to mentoring and developing your skills in the growing horizontal / infrastructure market You will work with an international MEI team and Senior Engineers around the company through our intraoffice staff utilization program.
Thus, growing your skills beyond the state and country for which you work. As the successful new hire, you will join a highly collaborative international team of Electrical Engineers.You will not only work on projects in the State of Florida but beyond This diverse project experience will help grow your knowledge and expertise outside of your local region.

Completes electrical designs to support firm-wide projects by working with Project Managers (any discipline) and electrical teammatesProvides design calculations, design drawings, and project specifications for the following but not limited to:Medium/low voltage power distribution systemsLighting systemsLightning protection systemsGrounding systemsCommunications systemsControl SystemsElectrical equipment design (including switchboards and switchgear)
Electrical calculations, selective coordination and arc flash studiesPrepares detailed contract documents, studies and cost estimatesPerform construction management activities such as submittal reviews and construction observations for electrical work on projectsAssist in companywide Quality Assurance and Quality Control processesOther duties:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Master's degree in Electrical Engineer is preferredEngineer in Training Certification within 1 year of hire4 to 6 years of related experience in:
Medium/low voltage power distribution systemsGrounding systemsLighting systemsCommunications systemsElectrical equipment design (including switchboards and switchgear)Selective coordination and arc flash studiesWorking knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit is requiredProficiency ETAP or EasyPower and AGI32 preferredValid driver's license in good standing Ability and willingness to travel to local job sites and occasionally other Moffatt & Nichol officesAll new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S.
