    Job Posting: Squash Instructor

    Lakeshore Sport & Fitness – Lakeshore - Illinois Center - Squash at 211 N. Stetson Avenue, Chicago, Illinois is seeking a Squash Instructor to teach at our premier club in downtown Chicago. With five Squash courts, an active membership with a strong growing junior program, this is the ideal location for either an experienced instructor or someone with a passion for the sport, who wants to learn from a top professional. The Squash Instructor provides professional, engaging and effective private or group lessons.

    Responsibilities & Requirements

    Instruct with a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. Instruct members and guests on techniques to improve their skill level and maximize their health from exercise routines during lessons.

    Teach assigned classes and lessons on a timely basis.

    Respond to member/guest inquiries quickly in a professional, and consistent manner.

    Provide excellent customer service with ongoing observation and interpersonal feedback of

    corrective measures during class participation.

    Must be available weekdays, evenings and weekends.

    Current nationally recognized Squash certification suggested, but not mandatory.

    Minimum of one year of experience teaching squash. Prior teaching experience in a college or

    corporate setting/background.

    Assist the Head Professional with Squash programming. Additional hours available based on program participation.

    Part-time to full-time hours available.

    Pay Scale

    Commission based on lessons taught. Commensurate with experience level.

    Requirements:

    Be able to work daytime, evenings and weekends

    Be willing to work up to 25 hours a week

    Ability to sit, stand, walk and reach

    Comfortable working with all different age groups and be able to build positive relationships with the members

    Friendly, outgoing, energetic, positive attitude

    Have exceptional organizational skills, time management, and communication
