    We are actively seeking Language Analyst Reporters to join our team
    Language Analyst Reporters must be able to demonstrate increasing levels of cryptologic language processing and reporting experience based on the Skill Level of the analyst
    Skill Level 2, 3, and 4 analysts must meet the requirements of lower skill levels in addition to the skill level of which they have applied
    Languages vary according to skill level and include: Korean, Modern Standard Arabic (text only), Arabic-Levantine (audio only), Arabic-Iraqi (audio only), Arabic-Egyptian (audio only), Chinese (Mandarin), Farsi, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Spanish, Turkish, and Urdu
    Skill Level 1 Language Analyst Reporters must demonstrate the following skills:


    • Conducting target research and analysis
    • Monitoring classified and open sources for useful information
    • Compiling and integrating information
    • Producing reports using appropriate formats for dissemination
    • Scanning and sorting/categorizing foreign language materials
    • Recovering essential elements of information
    • Gisting, translating and transcribing
    • Compiling and updating operational working aids and databases
    • Must possess equivalent of four (4) years full-time combined cryptologic language processing, intelligence reporting based on foreign language materials, related language, and/or related cryptologic experience
    • Must possess an equivalent of eighteen (18) months of translation and/or transcription, and gisting experience
    • Must possess an equivalent of eighteen (18) months of reporting experience
    • One (1) year experience typing on an English keyboard
    • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED); Associates degree or higher education preferred.
    • Must possess at least Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Skill Level 2 in Audio Translation Performance and/or Translation Performance into standard American English
    Candidate must possess ILR skill level validation within two (2) years prior to consideration or candidate must test via Government approved test Skill Level 2 Language Analyst Reporter must demonstrate the following skills in addition to Skill Level 1:


    • Must possess equivalent of six (6) years full-time combined cryptologic language processing, intelligence reporting based on foreign language materials, related language, and/or related cryptologic experience
    • Must possess an equivalent of thirty (30) months of translation and/or transcription, and gisting experience
    • Must possess an equivalent of thirty (30) months of reporting experience
    • Associate of Arts (AA)/Associate of Science (AS) degree; Bachelor's degree or higher education preferred.
    • In lieu of the associate degree, an additional two (2) years of directly related, applied, practical work experience may be substituted
    • Must possess at least Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Skill Level 3 in Audio Translation Performance and/or Translation Performance into standard American English
    Candidate must possess ILR skill level validation within two (2) years prior to consideration or candidate must test via Government approved test Skill Level 3 Language Analyst Reporter must demonstrate the following skills in addition to lower skill levels:


    • Mentoring language analysts in language processing
    • Producing and performing quality control of reports using appropriate formats for dissemination
    • Must possess equivalent of twelve (12) years full-time combined cryptologic language processing, intelligence reporting based on foreign language materials, related language, and/or related cryptologic experience
    • Must possess an equivalent of four (4) years of translation and/or transcription, and gisting experience
    • Must possess an equivalent of one (1) year of experience performing quality control review of ILR level 3 audio translations and/or text translations
    • Must possess an equivalent of four (4) years of reporting experience
    • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent; Master's degree or higher education preferred
    • In lieu of the bachelor's degree, an additional four (4) years of directly related, applied, practical work experience may be substituted (total of 14 years of experience) Skill Level 4 Language Analyst Reporter must demonstrate the following skills in addition to lower skill levels: • Drafting intelligence reports
    • Must possess equivalent of seventeen (17) years full-time combined cryptologic language processing, intelligence reporting based on foreign language materials, related language, and/or related cryptologic experience
    • Must possess an equivalent of twelve (12) years of experience performing Cryptologic Operations language processing and intelligence reporting based on foreign language materials
    • Must possess an equivalent of five (5) years of experience in translating and/or transcribing, and gisting
    • Must possess an equivalent of one (1) year of experience performing quality control review of ILR level 3 audio translations and/or text translations
    • Must possess an equivalent of seven (7) years of experience in reporting.
    • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent; Master's degree or higher education preferred
