Responsibilities
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and plating.
- Assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Verify that all food items meet safety and sanitation standards before serving.
- Assist in meal assembly during busy service periods, supporting the kitchen team with food handling and prep tasks.
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation to uphold freshness and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with servers and front-of-house staff to deliver a seamless dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness of work stations, utensils, and equipment following health regulations.
Skills
- Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly valued.
- Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Proven restaurant experience with a focus on food handling, safety, and sanitation practices.
- Skilled in culinary tasks such as knife skills, meal preparation, and food presentation.
- Knowledge of food industry standards including catering, fine dining service, and general food service operations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure guest satisfaction.
