    We are seeking Behavioral Health Technicians that share our passion of helping people in recovery. The purpose of the Behavioral Health Technician is to assist in providing a safe environment for individuals while they live in our residences. The Behavioral Health Technician acts as the trusted liaison between our residents and care team to report any changes in the clients physical or mental condition. The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for supervising clients with emphasis on client safety and wellbeing.

    Requirements

    To be considered for the Behavioral Health Technician position, you will need:

    • High school diploma or equivalent, bachelors or associate degree preferred
    • Experience in providing direct supportive care to clients, experience with substance use or mental health disorders preferred
    • General knowledge of substance use and mental health disorders, with competence in providing resident care
    • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
    • Customer service proficiency, communication skills, and a passion for helping others
    Behavioral Health Technician Responsibilities
    • Establishes supportive relationships with residents, encouraging recovery progress with guidance, safety, and compassion
    • Collaborates with supervisor and residents care team to coordinate care based on residents needs
    • Identifies signs of potential unsafe behavior or crisis, uses appropriate intervention techniques, and immediately reports outcomes to supervisor and care team
    • Reports changes in resident status to supervisor when needed to ensure resident needs are met
    • Completes documentation according to policies and procedures, and ensures that daily reporting includes achievement and obstacles in meeting recovery goals
    • Maintains resident safety by applying safety procedures and precautions, completing safety rounds and documenting observations
    • Monitors and documents the resident's drug and alcohol levels using urinalysis and breathalyzer assessments
    • Performs body checks, inventories, and residence inspections according to schedule and need
    • Provides and facilitates group activities when indicated
    • Transports residents to and from appointments
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
    Pay: $17-$20/hour

    Schedule: Full-time, Second Shift (3:30pm-12:00am), Overnight (12:00am-8:30am)

    Location: Monmouth Junction, NJ and Hamilton Township, NJ
