    Job Opening Summary


    Responsible for managing the daily operation of assigned areas by ensuring appropriately trained and number of staff, adequate supplies and inventory, functional equipment and monitoring of staff performance.

    The incumbent manages patient and employee satisfaction activities. Works with department quality management to ensure compliance and to improve work processes. Represents his/her work team in assigned meetings. Makes regular reports to radiology management regarding operations, quality and other department initiatives.


    Additional Essential Job Functions:


    Performs imaging exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulationsand laws, collaborating with physician to evaluate images and report abnormalities immediately.

    Follows established protocols for all imaging equipment, performing all routine daily, weekly, monthly and periodic maintenance and functions checks.


    Assists during exams, treatments and procedures, including chaperoning correlating findings with procedure being performed and ensuring time-out is observed on appropriate procedures according to policy.

    Demonstrates proficiency at inserting and maintaining IVs.

    Collects laboratory samples and performs lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures.


    Demonstrates ability to perform laboratory quality controls,assessmentsand routine daily, weekly, monthly and periodic maintenance and function according to laboratory policy and procedure.

    Ensures proper supplies, appropriate medical equipment and medications are available for patient care and par levels meet facility needs.

    Participates in QAPI activities, including participation in accreditation preparation and survey process, and maintenance of accreditation, stateand CMS standards.

    Adheres to established facility/departmental policies and procedures.

    Prepares patient meals, as needed, in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.

    Attends and participates in all applicable facility meetings, trainings and development workshops.

    Performs all other dutiesassigned by manager/director.

    Job Opening Qualifications

    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
    Graduate of a two-year program in radiology technology or relevant allied health profession.


    Minimum of three years' experience in management area(s), including pediatric and adult procedures or similar setting, and proven team leadership (charge, supervisor, etc.) required.


    Licensure/Certification/Registration:
    Current Florida license/registry/certification in appropriate field of training is required.
