    Class A CDL Driver

    We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class A CDL Driver to join our team at Batesville, a well-established and reputable company in the Portland area.

    As a Class A CDL Driver, you will play a crucial role in the transportation of goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.


    Responsibilities:

    • Safely operate and maneuver tractor-trailer combinations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
    • Transport goods and materials to and from specified destinations, including distribution centers & warehouses.
    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation and compliance with company and DOT regulations.
    • Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
    • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, and delivery documentation as required by company policies and regulatory agencies.
    • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues or concerns.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service.
    • Uphold a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and fellow employees.

    *Basic Requirements:


    • Class A Commercial Driver's License
    • Doubles endorsement
    • Ability to obtain HAZMAT endorsement within 6 weeks
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience driving class A combination vehicles
    • Fully understand DOT rules and regulations
    • Clean MVR / CSA Score
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Must pass a vehicle road test
    • The employee must pass DOT physicals, including vision requirements and random drug and alcohol screenings.
    • Ability to lift and/or move miscellaneous equipment and product weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and over 100 pounds occasionally.

    Great to Haves:

    • Ability to enter Canada and return with no restrictions due to criminal history or personal status with valid passport or passport card
    • Dependable, honest, quick learner, good communication skills and team player
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to ensure that the customer demand is met
    • Ability to perform and interpret computer and RF functions
    • Ability to learn new skills at a fast pace
    • Forklift experience preferred
    • Basic computer skills
