- Welders will be using stick (SMAW) welding processes in 3G and 4G on carbon steel barges. Candidates will also be fitting steel material.
- Grind and prep metal surfaces prior to welding.
- Set up, operate and maintain welding machines and equipment.
- Welding candidates must have at least 2 years of structural welding and fitting experience.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and drawings.
- Ability to follow directions and to use logical though process to interpret oral and written instructions and recommend alternative solutions to mechanical problems.
