Consevatory Lab Charter School is on the lookout for a Learning Specialist to join their team. This role involves providing special education services as per students' IEPs. We need someone who is enthusiastic about helping students reach their full potential and is eager to collaborate with teachers to create impactful learning experiences.

The ideal candidate will have a knack for analyzing student needs, devising hands-on learning experiences, and ensuring students receive the necessary accommodations. They should be able to support both academic and social emotional aspects of education.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with lead teachers to create an optimal learning environment
• Plan lessons with academic teachers to enhance student learning
• Provide necessary support as per IEP requirements
• Set student-specific IEP goals and document progress
• Participate in all IEP meetings
• Deliver services to students, including RTI support
• Create individualized behavior plans
• Work with teachers to implement student accommodations
• Lead small group and individual instruction
• Maintain intervention records and progress monitoring
• Communicate with families and attend meetings as needed
• Assist with student screenings and testing accommodations
• Supervise student groups as per schedule
• Use feedback to enhance performance and support students
• Perform additional duties to ensure a safe learning environment
• Qualifications:
• Special Education license
  
• Experience in an urban setting
  
• Reading license (preferred)
  
• Bilingual - Spanish, Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole
  
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a professional team
  
• Strong oral communication skills
  
• Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment

Salary is dependent on experience.
