Job Summary
The Controller implements and oversees accounting procedures processes and policies and is responsible for the Company's overall accounting function financial reporting internal controls audits and budgeting.Responsibilities
- Establish monitor and enforce financial policies procedures and internal controls to protect the company's assets
- Oversee the day to day operations of all accounting functions Independently proactively improve manage department workflow Ensure all financial transactions are recorded timely accurately in accordance with GAAP Monitor analyze department work for continuous improvement efficient use of resources both people reduction of carbon footprint striving for zero-waste Indirectly manage period end close process including setting expectations deadlines assisting staff resolve unusual or complex issues Analyze review monthly account reconciliations financial statements supporting schedules compliance reports according monthly close schedule Coordinate with other departments complete monthly year-end close procedures ensure that schedules adjustments completed correctly timely Oversee equity transaction process Provide intellectual support resolving complex unusual situations accounting staff as well as other departments Prepare monitor Finance Corporate Supply Chain Investment budgets support FP&A budgeting process Compile information around company create cash forecasting process understanding impact strategic decisions accounting methods capital projects anticipate recommend strategies regarding cash needs
