- Working closely with project managers to establish project timelines and designs.
- Assisting with Design of Maintenance of traffic plans, pavement marking/signage plans, utility relocation, and roadway plan and profiles.
- Preparing construction plan documents using MicroStation, Civil 3D and other CAD software.
- Developing construction specifications, quantities and pay item estimates.
- Interpreting project plans and specifications, ensuring that construction work meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- Collaborating to produce design plans, reports, and specifications that are innovative and effective.
- Coordinating with stakeholders to resolve utility conflicts and other issues as they arise.
- Performing quality control procedures to ensure that all project deliverables adhere to industry standards and client requirements.
- Attending coordination meetings and facilitating the resolution of technical issues as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 1+ years of relevant civil design experience, specifically in transportation engineering.
- EIT certification required, Licensed Professional Engineer is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Bentley MicroStation and or/ AutoCAD Civil3D.
- Ability to manage individual tasks and work in a collaborative environment.
- Working knowledge of IDOT and Tollway design standards and processes.
- Strong communication skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
