Our team is partnered with a global, cutting-edge, and tech-forward powerhouse in the audio industry who is growing their team They have a diverse product portfolio and a history of innovation and expertise in acoustics, wireless technology, networked audio systems and digital signal processing.
They are looking for a Tax Manager who will play an integral role in US federal, multistate, and international tax compliance.
The Tax Manager will have overall responsibility for U.S. federal and state tax including tax compliance, financial reporting for tax (ASC 740), tax planning and controversies.This is a wonderful team, and the role is set-up to achieve upward mobility within the organization. The position will work a hybrid schedule from Chicago's north suburbs, and compensation + benefits are competitive.
Responsibilities
Experienced in federal and state tax income tax compliance including preparation, review, and familiarity with consolidated returns
Experienced in domestic income tax provision (ASC 740)
Identify and communicate gaps but more importantly bring forth solutions to problems in an organized and understandable manner
Perform responsibilities at a high-level providing timely, well-organized, and accurate deliverables
Work independently and cross-functionally to support Finance and Company objectives
Highly attentive to detail and apply a hands-on approach
Excellent project management and time management, with a commitment to continuous improvement
Strong technology skills including MS office, SAP or other ERP system experience, and data wrangling
Minimum of 5 years of experience with an emphasis on U.S. federal and multi-state taxation
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Qualifications
Manage all aspects of U.S. federal and state tax income compliance including preparation and/or review of book-tax adjustments, tax methods, tax fixed assets, state apportionment and modifications, estimated payments, extensions, and information reporting
Manage all aspects of U.S. federal and state R&D tax credit reporting, including procedures and processes, substantiating documentation, assessing qualification, and collaborating with product development and R&D credit service provider
Conduct U.S. federal and state tax research documenting conclusions reached
Manage all aspects of the U.S. federal and state tax provision applying US GAAP concepts, including the quarterly AETR, annual financial statements, and current and deferred taxes payable
Manage U.S. federal and state controversies, including exams, replying to IDRs and notices
Manage the tax aspects of corporate projects and initiatives
