    As an Electrician for the Department of Administrative Services (DAS), you will perform semi-skilled and skilled electrical maintenance work in state-owned/leased buildings in the Wilsonville/Portland Metro area. This essential work includes providing a safe, comfortable, efficient building environment for state employees and the public.

    Staff working in this facility may have visual or sensory exposure to an assortment of Forensics Laboratory, Environmental & Biological Lab, or Medical Examiner Laboratory environments that could include unsanitary evidence contaminated with body fluids from crime location, materials from Medical Examiner's lab, or body evidence from deceased persons. Working near this evidence or the materials may be required to perform job duties. Staff performing work in secure areas or labs will be escorted by Forensics or Medical staff at all times.

    What We Are Looking For

    Minimum Qualifications:

    A General Journeyman Electrical license.

    Desired Attributes:

    • Experience reading blueprints and operating special electrical test equipment.
    • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, customer service, and troubleshooting skills.
    • The ability to complete tasks and projects with a high attention to detail and safety.
    • The ability to work independently without constant supervision, as well as collaboratively as a team member.
    • Systems - Employee must have basic computer skills to operate various software programs (e.g., lighting control systems, Computer Integrated Facilities Management Software (IWMS), Workday, Microsoft Office, and maintenance/time tracking software); PC skill and experience that includes using PC based software to receive dispatched work tasks as well as create work tasks used to communicate time logs, notes, locations, and task status daily.
    • Knowledge of basic programming language and ability to read and write program language.
