Thriving Large Scale Construction Company Seeks Construction Estimator
About Us:
We are a busy and fast growing construction company focused on providing top quality buildings to the New York and New Jersey area. We mainly take on public projects such as schools, municipal, county and state owned buildings. Project sizes are typically between $1,000,000 and $10,000,000.
About the position:
As an Estimator you will be expected to perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
Pick up Plans and Specs from architects and owners
Sending Invitations to Bid to subcontractors and suppliers
Requesting prices for subcontractors and suppliers
Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
Requesting and pick up Bid Bonds
Preparing Bidding packages
Detailed breakdown of scope and cost for all trades
Delivering bid packages to Bid Opening Locations

Our ideal Construction Estimator should be both professional and organized with a team-oriented mentality. Someone obsessed with organization and detail-oriented in each and every project and task.
Candidates must have NJ based general contractor experience since a number of upcoming projects are based in New Jersey.

Position may include working outside of normal working hours as necessary.
Ability to travel to construction sites as needed
Requirements:
5 years experience in commercial and industrial construction estimating
Experience working with a General Contractor is required
Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and estimating software (i.e. Planswift, Vu360)
Certifications related to construction are a plus
Schedule: M-F 9am-5:00pm
Compensation:
$130,000 - $150,000/yr depending on experience
