Please note: LVHN requires a full Hep B series (3 doses) or positive Hep B antibody documentation
REQUIRED - Must be able to scrub and circulate.
Directs and manages the care of designated operative patients and performs an ongoing patient assessment, creates and maintains a safe environment, and implements and enforces all policies and procedures.
Handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Develops a plan of perioperative nursing care based on patient assessment including physical, psychosocial, cultural, growth, and development dimensions.Certifications - Required
AHA BLS - Basic Life Support Certificate
AHA NIHSS Certificate
Education - Required
Graduate of accredited Nursing program
Licenses - Required
Registered Nurse State of Pennsylvania
Experience - Required
1 year Acute Care Experience and/or experience congruent with role in service line
Must have CVOR experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required
Successful completion of Registered Nurse orientation.
Minimum ability to circulate surgical procedures.
Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.
Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty.
Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
Basic computer skills.
Education - Preferred
Bachelor's Degree Nursing
Additional Qualifications - Preferred
CNOR -Certified Operating Room Nurse
ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification, as per unit requirement
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification, as per unit requirement
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification, as per unit requirement
