    The Opportunity

    The VP Marketing, Innovative Medicines will be a critical leadership role within US Innovative Medicines responsible for creating and leading the portfolio strategy for the organization.

    This role will lead several Brand and/or Portfolio Leads.

    Key Responsibilities
    Responsible for financial management, enhancing alignment and execution, and driving operational excellence, including delivering on goals and objectives.

    Partner with Leadership Team to define and implement strategy, including establishing priorities and defining resource allocation across brands and key initiatives.

    Accountable for marketing performance across all brands, working closely with each brand lead to develop and execute each brand's strategy (e.g. – driving annual brand planning, developing of operational brand plan, and creating alignment with other stakeholders across the organization).
    Partners with R&D and BD on development of pipeline assets and new business opportunities.
    Lead and ensure success of market development and product promotional plans, budgets, programs, and objectives through collaboration with other functions (e.g. – Medical Affairs, Market Access, Global Marketing, Sales, Patient Services, Operations & Analytics, Commercial Excellence)

    Guide Brand and Portfolio Leads to facilitate ensure best practices and alignment of marketing processes; identifies and capitalizes on opportunities and synergies.

    Leads cross-functional launch strategy for new assets including scaling current organization and establishing new capabilities and roles as needed.
    Responsible for leading, developing, and coaching team members within organization.
    Create and maintain a culture of high-performance with integrity and compliance.

    Your Experience and Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
    Minimum of 20 years of Biotech / Pharma experience.
    Minimum of 10 years of Marketing experience required, including leading multiple brands.
    Breadth of experience across multiple Commercial functions (e.g. – Sales, Marketing, Operations & Analytics, Patient Services, Market Access).
    Previous second-line people management experience required.

    Adept at creating strategic vision for portfolio and brands; identifies and capitalizes on synergies across stakeholders.
    Ability to drive a high-performance culture with organization focused on delivering results, generating insights, and solving complex problems.
    Possesses deep marketing experience and establishes best practices across the business.
    Proven track record of driving operational excellence.
    Experienced in financial management of multiple brands (P&L) and leading annual operating plans and long-range plans.
    Possesses strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, processes, timelines, and expectations across stakeholder groups.
    Demonstrated ability to process complex information and summarize it in writing and / or verbally; employs active listening skills.
    Ability to lead, manage, and motivate cross-functional teams.

    Travel Requirements
    Approximately 30% - 70% travel throughout the US, which may include weekend and overnight and periodic international travel.
