    Project Engineer

    | $75-105k

    Tracy, CA

    Are you a driven and detail-oriented engineering professional looking to make your mark in the fast-paced world of paving & grading? Join our client's team as a Project Engineer and play a crucial role in laying the foundation for construction projects across Northern California


    As a Project Engineer, you will become an integral part of our engineering team, working closely with Project Managers to oversee and facilitate various operational aspects of construction projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    :

    Assist in coordinating and scheduling subcontractors and other project resources.

    Serve as the primary liaison between field operations and the central accounting department to ensure accurate timekeeping and comprehensive job cost accounting and reporting.

    Collaborate with Area and Project Superintendents to develop short-term working schedules and monitor material needs and availability for projects.
    Track and document quantities and field measurements for progress payment purposes.
    Create and submit Daily Extra Work Reports to Contract Admin for review.
    Attend construction site meetings and pre-construction meetings as necessary.
    Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing company procedures, rules, and regulations.
    Process and track all submittals, Requests for Information (RFI), and Staking Requests.
    Prepare traffic control plans and schedule weekly lane closures.
    Perform Takeoffs for plan changes.
    Create daily timecards in HCSS, and monitor and adjust field-generated time cards.
    Provide administrative support for remote offices, including answering phones, scanning documents, filing, ordering supplies, processing mail, and more.
    Key Qualifications

    :

    1-3 years of general engineering experience in

    roadway construction required
    Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management a plus
    Strong understanding of blueprints and project specifications.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Basic skills in scheduling software, such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft P6.
