- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgeries.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as radiographs, blood tests, and urinalysis.
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation.
- Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely.
- Assist with front desk duties, including answering phones and scheduling appointments.
- For LVT: Current state licensure as a Veterinary Technician.
- For Veterinary Assistant: Prior experience in a veterinary setting preferred but not required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, animal handling, and anesthesia monitoring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners.
- Ability to lift and restrain animals of various sizes.
