It is not purely an Infrastructure position and IS NOT A DEVOPS ROLE. There will be some DevOps involved but it is not a DevOps architect they need . It would be more SOLUTIONS OR ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE. CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL OR RELOCATE FOR A DAY ONE START.


We need:
A senior Azure Architect with specialized skills in Applications with some Infrastructure and Security. Candidates need to relocate to South Florida or be local. The more certifications the better. ***THIS IS AN AZURE APPLICATIONS & Infrastructure ARCHITECT.

THE CLIENT IS SHIFTING THE ENTIRE ENTERPRISE (APPLICATIONS, INFRASTRUCTURE AND SECURITY) FFOM AWS TO AZURE SO THAT EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY PREFERRED.

This role drives collaboration with stakeholders including ITS teams, technology partners, business customers, and vendors to ensure that the participants are effectively communicating and aligned on technical deliverables.

In addition, role will not have direct reports but does lead cross-functional technical resources to deliver on desired outcomes.

For projects, this role will be responsible for technical oversight of the design to ensure adherence to enterprise standards, reduction of complexity, and reusability.

Other responsibilities include leading pre-project consulting and estimation efforts, implementation planning, deployment activities, and support transition.

The role will be to work closely with Project Managers and other technology stakeholders to ensure all technical deliverables are carefully planned, staffed, and tracked completed on time and with high quality.

Job Description:

This role will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the design, documentation, and review of technology solutions that meet the business and IT needs of the organization.

This individual will also be accountable for providing technical leadership for projects and will be accountable for the end-to-end solution and delivery.

Individual will be the focal and escalation point for all -technical delivery issues on these efforts.

This individual will be assigned to projects in SET to provide leadership and be the primary accountable person for the design and delivery of the solution for the business initiative.

The ideal candidate is willing to re-locate to South Florida or be local.
Must have experience with Microsoft Azure and knowledge of supporting systems within cloud infrastructures.

As an Azure Applications Architect you will be responsible for:

Azure Solution Design:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design scalable, reliable, and secure Azure-based solutions.
Creating and documenting architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and best practices for Azure application deployments.


AWS to Azure Migration:
Leading and executing migration projects to move applications and infrastructure from AWS to Azure.
Conducting assessments to identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities for optimization during the migration process.
Ensuring a smooth transition of workloads, data, and configurations from AWS to Azure.


Infrastructure Expertise:
Demonstrating a deep understanding of Azure infrastructure services, including virtual networks, storage, compute, and security.
Designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.


Performance Optimization:

Analyzing and optimizing the performance of Azure-based applications to ensure they meet or exceed defined service level agreements (SLAs).Implementing scalability and elasticity strategies to accommodate changing workloads.

Security and Compliance:
Implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborating with the security team to design and deploy secure Azure solutions.


Technical Leadership:
Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Staying abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to Azure.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Applications Architect with a focus on Azure solutions.

In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including but not limited to Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service, etc.

Experience in migrating applications and infrastructure from AWS to Azure.
Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).


Certifications such as Microsoft Certified:
