- Develop and maintain geospatial data pipelines, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of large-scale geodata.
- Use statistical techniques and geospatial data visualizations to analyze geospatial data and derive insights that can enhance gameplay and developer experience.
- Collaborate with game designers and engineers to integrate geospatial data into game mechanics, ensuring a seamless and immersive player experience.
- Implement data quality control measures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of geospatial data.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in geospatial data technologies and methodologies, and propose solutions that improve our geodata infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.
- Required in-office 2 days on Wednesday and Thursday.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Geography, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in geospatial data analysis, manipulation, and visualization.
- Experience with geospatial databases and SQL.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages for data manipulation and analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including synchronous interactions with others.
- Familiarity with geospatial data formats (e.g., GeoJSON, Shapefile, KML) and coordinate systems (e.g., WGS84, UTM).
- Proficiency in geospatial data processing tools and libraries such as ArcGIS, QGIS, GDAL, or PostGIS.
- Passion for mobile gaming and augmented reality.
