    Under general direction of the Director of Student Support Services, or designee, the candidate will serves as a District Speech and Language specialist providing specialized speech and language services including therapy, evaluation and assistance to individuals or groups of students eligible for services.

    MATERIALS :

    • Speech Language Pathology Services Credential required, Autism or DHH Experience preferred. Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply.
    • Up to a maximum of 10 years credit for each previous experience working as a full time Speech Therapist (Verification required)

      If your credential is pending please attach CTC application/receipt or a letter from your University on letterhead stating your graduation date and type of credential you will be recommended for.

    • Additional or unnecessary attachments may lead to disqualification from the eligibility pool. No applications via email, fax or inperson will be accepted. A signing bonus of $5,000 shall be provided to all newly hired speech pathologists completing three full years (75% or more of the total service days) of paid certificated service. $2,500 shall be paid upon the completion of the first full year (75% or more of the total service days) of paid certificated service. The remaining $2,500 shall be paid upon the completion of the third full year (75% or more of the total service days) of paid certificated service.
    Applicants must submit the following: 1) A letter of introduction stating reasons for interest in the position, qualifications that match the professional preparation. 2) A resume providing biographical background information about candidate's experience, achievements, and educational preparation. 3) Copy of Speech Language Pathology Services Credential.

    If your credential is pending please attach CTC application/receipt or a letter from your University on letterhead stating your graduation date and type of credential you will be recommended for.

    4) A total of three (3) CURRENT and signed letters of recommendation on letterhead.

    Please DO NOT attach any other documentation such as transcripts, testing scores, first aid/CPR cards, photos; and no more than 3 letters of recommendation.


    • Credential Copy (CTC website credential; name, expiration date, document number and proper authorizations must be visible. Letter from University indicating the completion of program is acceptable.)
    • Letter of Introduction (Addressed to Chad Hammitt -Deputy Superintendent)
    • Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 Letters of recommendations must be dated within the last 2 years.)

    Every student is entitled to a safe school environment free from discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, intimidation, and bullying.

    Anonymous complaints may also be filed by contacting the principal, District supervisor, or the District's compliance officer whose contact information is noted below.

    Students who violate the District's policies on discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, intimidation, and bullying may be subject to discipline, including suspension and/or expulsion.

    The District prohibits retaliation against individuals who make complaints or provide information related to such complaints.

    Uniform Complaint Process (UCP) This process is used to investigate and resolve only the complaints specified in Board Policy The District's UCP policy and administrative regulation shall be posted in all District schools and offices, including staff lounges and student government meeting rooms.

    (Education Code The Superintendent or designee shall annually provide written notification of the District's UCP, including information regarding unlawful student fees, local control and accountability plan (LCAP) requirements, and requirements related to the educational rights of foster youth and homeless students, to students, employees, parents/guardians, the District advisory committee, school advisory committees, appropriate private school officials or representatives, and other interested parties.

    (Education Code 262.3, 48853, , 49013, , , , 52075; 5 CCR 4622) UCP Timeline The complaint review shall be completed within 60 calendar days from the date of receipt of the complaint unless the complainant agrees in writing to an extension of the timeline.

    A complaint alleging retaliation or unlawful discrimination (such as discriminatory harassment, intimidation, or bullying) must be filed not later than six months from the date it occurred, or six months from the date the complainant first obtained knowledge of the facts of the alleged unlawful discrimination.

    The time for filing may be extended for up to 90 days by the Superintendent or designee for good cause upon written request by the complainant setting forth the reasons for the extension.

    The complainant has a right to appeal the District's decision to the CDE by filing a written appeal within 15 calendar days of receiving the District's decision.

    In any complaint alleging unlawful discrimination (such as discriminatory harassment, intimidation, or bullying), the respondent also shall have the right to file an appeal with the CDE in the same manner as the complainant, if he/she is dissatisfied with the District's decision.
