Data Analyst 1 Position (1 Year Fixed Term) at Stanford University

Job Description:
The Department of Radiology at Stanford University is seeking a Data Analyst 1 to join the Section of Neuroradiology. This role involves working in the Zaharchuk lab, focusing on developing innovative Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques to enhance understanding of human brain functions, identify brain structures, and diagnose brain diseases.

Responsibilities:

Identify and select usable data from subtle patterns
Assess and produce relevant information from data sources
Design methods to validate data quality
Create dashboards and key performance indicators for reporting
Collect, manage, and clean datasets
Research and reconcile data discrepancies
Collaborate to define data standards and improve data collection
Identify new data sources and methods for analysis
Test prototype software and participate in software approval process

Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have experience in medical imaging datasets, basic statistics for health sciences, and AI software frameworks. Additionally, proficiency in image interpretation, data processing software, Linux-based scripts, and programming languages is desired.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, statistics, or engineering. Prior experience in analytical software and database management is required.

Skills and Abilities:
The successful candidate must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders is essential.

Physical Requirements:
This role involves performing desk-based computer tasks, sitting, and occasional physical activities.
