Job summary
The dispensing of medications and other health care related items in accordance with the standard policies and procedures of the department. There will be considerable interaction with providers regarding therapeutic choices drug dosage appropriateness and compatibility of medications in multi‐drug modalities.This position will require involvement in patient education medication reconciliation activities. Dispense non‐prescription medication to public counsel patients answer patients' questions regarding medications Organize daily operational duties direct supportive personnel including technicians dispensing functions routine pharmacy services Routinely order pharmacy inventory items check adjust proper inventory levels rotate stock ensures compliance drug recalls remove outdated excess drug supplies May be assigned perform additional tasks including but not limited to drug usage evaluation medication reconciliation quality assurance/control file maintenance drug information report compilation readmission reduction activities
The pay range for this position is $87.97/hr
