Arts in Action Community Charter School opened in Fall 2011 with grades K-5. The elementary program aims to provide a rigorous academic foundation while developing the whole child through a rich arts program, a daily socio-emotional learning component, and modeling advocacy through social justice initiatives.
Arts in Action Community Middle School opened in Fall 2016 and serves grades 6-8 students. We believe that all students deserve access to the arts. We believe that instruction should be culturally relevant, inclusive and meet the diverse needs of all learners. We believe social justice is integral to education and aim to teach students how to advocate for themselves, our community, and the world.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Accessible Education Director, the RSP teacher (Accessible Education) provides expertise and assistance in meeting the needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities. The RSP teacher provides one-to-one instruction, classroom support, and small group pull-out and push-in instruction to ensure students with IEPs meet their individual goals. In addition, the RSP teacher collaborates with general education teachers to accommodate instructional strategies and curriculum and develop behavioral plans for students with additional needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
WAGE AND BENEFITS: This is a full-time, 10-month salaried position. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience; a competitive benefits package is included. The salary range is $70,500 - $105,000 annually. Teachers are compensated based on their placement on a salary scale divided into Developing, Lead, and Distinguished Teacher categories. Compensation is determined based on years of teaching, expertise, and education units.
