    Job DescriptionQuality Assurance Specialist

    Vanguard Renewables is the premier anaerobic digester developer/owner/operator in the United States. Our closed-loop anaerobic digestion process converts organic waste and cow manure into green electricity or renewable natural gas as well as other related "value-added" products. Our head office is in Weston Massachusetts, and we are funded by institutional capital partners. We currently have over twenty projects in development operating in over thirteen States. We have a plan to continue to aggressively expand into other domestic markets.

    The Quality Assurance Specialist has primary responsibility for the oversight and coordination of all Quality Assurance practices of a POD under construction in accordance with the design and specification parameters.

    Responsibilities
    • Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed.
    • Ability to travel up to 20%.
    • Support in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels.
    • Investigate reports of product quality issues and ensure resolution in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and update procedures for capture, investigation, and documentation.
    • Monitor risk-management procedures, maintain problem logs, and report issues to leadership.
    • Provide training and support to quality assurance team members that cover systems, policies, procedures, and core processes.
    • Develop training materials and operating manuals.
    • Responsible for site safety audits
    • Ensuring JSA compliance
    • Verifying subcontractor documentation; lift plans, TRIR, operator qualifications, and safety plans
    • Document nonconformance.
    • Provide insight and direction on emergency response plans prior to mobilization to ensure they are realistic and achievable.
    • Understanding project specifications.
    • Analyze impacts on the environment.
    • Support for developing project document control programs.
    • Risk identification, risk analysis, recovery planning.
    • Support in project pre-planning & development.
    Skills and Qualifications
    • 3-5 years of QA/QC or safety experience.
    • Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws.
    • Proven ability to understand projects according to outlined quality specifications and safety requirements.
    • Full understanding of project reporting.
    • Full understanding of procurement process & management.
    • Basic understanding of contract language.
    • Full understanding of Environmental Compliance Plan.
    • Basic ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects at once.
    • Basic understanding of consequences of all project performance.
    • Basic schedule development and maintenance.
    • Experience in contract compliance.
    • Experience in document control program development and execution.
    • Experience in blueprint & specification reading.
    • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
    • Advanced leadership skills, excellent communicator, negotiator, and motivator.
    • Well Organized
    • Very Resourceful
    • Self-Motivated.
    • OSHA 30 Minimum is a plus.
