Speech Language Pathologist - Lakewood, NJ

Job summary
The Speech/Language Pathologist organizes and conducts speech/language programs for the facility to facilitate rehabilitation. He/she directs resident participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. Also, the Pathologist facilitates the learning of those skills and functions essential for communication and swallowing, to diminish or correct pathology.Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Evaluates residents, develops appropriate treatment goals and methods,
- implements the speech therapy treatment plan,
and completes all related documentation
and record keeping regarding these services;
this includes application of therapeutic techniques
in areas such as cognitive skills,
communication,
speech oral motor skills,
dysphagia,
perceptual abilities,
