    Description


    The Program Manager is part of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department in the School of Engineering at Vanderbilt University.

    This key individual is responsible for coordinating administrative functions related to the research group.
    Duties and Responsibilities

    Function as the program lead for the CRESP Early Career Program (ECP) by 1) establishing a tracking system to create a historical record of supported students to document future success, 2) developing metrics to reflect the impact of this program, and 3) being a resource to the ECP administrative coordinator and faculty sponsors to ensure compliance with the expectations of the PI, Assistant Director of CRESP, ECP program, and the University.

    Strengthen collaboration and improve processes to facilitate complex projects/events, communications, collaborations (with Vanderbilt students, staff, and faculty; with US-based universities, government agencies, national laboratories; with international agencies and universities), and document repositories.

    Manage the process of proposal development for multiple investigator proposals.

    Monitor the effort of all research-funded individuals in the research group using tools such as eCRT, projections, proactive effort change requests, and retroactive processes in collaboration with faculty and the Assistant Director of CRESP.

    Review sub-award and PSA contract balances, request approval for new amendments, initiate the amendment process, monitor the process, and update the internal dashboard accordingly.

    Responsible for updating and monitoring the CRESP website and creating a website for the Kosson Research Group to promote the students supported by the work and the impact of research.

    Manage the document preparation and review process, ensuring that all requirements are met (page limits, approved templates, etc.) in support of the research group.

    Oversight of activities and meetings and act as a liaison with all stakeholders.
    Manage special events, including logistics and communications.
    Serve as a resource/advocate for the research group.
    Order supplies as requested by faculty and staff.
    Maintain inventory of computer equipment and peripheral items of the research group.
    Other tasks as assigned.

    Supervisory Relationships:
    This position does not have supervisory responsibility and reports administratively and functionally to the Assistant Director of CRESP.
    Qualifications
    A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education, or related experience, is required.
    A minimum of three years of experience is required.
    Outstanding interpersonal skills working with diverse individuals and strong written and oral communication skills are required.
    Outstanding organizational skills and ability to streamline and improve efficiency of team processes are required.
