We aspire to aid the growth of our company by welcoming the most qualified and deserving candidates aboard Optima is currently seeking a Prior Authorization Specialist to join our teamPrior Authorization Specialist Responsibilities:
Request, prepare and submit proper documentation to establish prior authorization for necessary medical services.
Prioritize authorization request according to urgency.
Submit appeals for denied authorizations.
Verify accuracy of CPT and ICD – 10 diagnoses used in patients' medical charting.
Correspond with patients to discuss authorization status.
Prior Authorization Specialist Qualifications:
Minimum of 1yr working experience in administrative role.
Knowledge of prior authorization
process/familiarity
with various medical insurances.
Previous experience working in primary care highly favorable.
1yr experience working with an EMR system.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Positive attitude that promotes teamwork and comradery
