- Designing, developing, and maintaining software to support the Washington State Legislature
- Building and supporting web and Windows applications with languages and technologies such as C#, .NET, WPF, JavaScript, IIS, T-SQL, JSON, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, and Blazor/JQuery
- Modernizing and migrating legacy applications
- Writing and executing unit tests and automated build scripts
- Building Web and RESTful APIs that are shared by many applications
- Developing and delivering high-value working software using the Agile/Scrum framework
- Leading and mentoring lower-level software developers
- Working with diverse developers to improve our development processes and refine our standards and principles
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience may substitute, year for year, for the preferred education).
- 8+ years as a full stack, object-oriented developer with hands-on experience implementing and deploying modern solutions using Microsoft technologies
- Work experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technology
- Proficient with UI/UX tools and practices
- Proficient in ORM/RDBMS, MS SQL Server, writing complex SQL queries
- Proficient with design patterns, specifically in multi-tier application design
- Proficient in DevOps/CI/CD and building out delivery pipelines
- Proficient in working with Agile development practices
- Proficient with accessible IT software, technology, practices, and policies
