IMC is currently hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant (PA)(Physician's Practice Clinic) , under the immediate supervision of the Physician Practice Manager and with the authority of theChief Nursing Officer, the Physician Assistant renders safe nursing care topatients. The PA supervises, directs, and monitors the nursing care assigned toher/him. The PA must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to providecare based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety, and related criteriafor the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric population.

WORK HOURS:

Fulltime- 40 hours per week

EDUCATION:

Graduate of state approved NP/PA school.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

Current Louisiana NP/PA license required.
CPR certification must be obtained prior to completion of orientation.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience preferred, but not required

Appliesthe nursing process to each patient and implements nursing actions.

Participatesin planning of patient's discharge needs and readiness for discharge.
Functionsas a positive role model for peers and promotes a professional image of IberiaMedical Center.
