Job Description:

Strategic Technology Partners LLC (STP) has an opportunity for a Splunk ITSI Engineer who will be designing, developing, and implementing the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), queries and dashboards in support for the performance and capacity group for a very large federal mainframe system.

Required Skills and Experience:
Prior experience with real-time monitoring for system issues and bottlenecks on a large system
Prior hands-on experience maintaining various network-monitoring technologies and applications focusing on the Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) premium application
Prior hands-on experience correlating logs from multiple products leveraging ITSI
Prior experience in managing Splunk Core and Splunk ITSI
Must have advanced knowledge of setting up Splunk dashboards and queries for performance data and information
Highly experienced in administrating and addressing new requests for app monitoring through Splunk

Other Skills and Experience:
Prior experience reporting on Mainframe performance data (SMF, RMF) is a plus
Prior experience with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) strongly desired
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education Requirement
:
A bachelor's degree, or higher, in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred.

Security Requirement:
Ability to obtain a Department of Treasury Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) is required for this position. Proof of U.S. Citizenship or a Green card is required. No exceptions can be made, as this is required by the government contract. Candidates with an active Department of Treasury Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) are preferred.

Location:
The position is remote, with occasional visits to the federal office for administrative matters.
