The Director of Chemyx Inc. is looking for an experienced Computer Vision Engineer that can help develop the next generation of automated robotics in lab science and new emerging markets. This is a contract to hire position.

Key job responsibilities:

The Computer Vision Engineer will work with the robotics hardware / software teams to prototype, experiment, deploy, operate, maintain, and evolve computer vision models on robotic systems.

As a technical leader and subject matter expert, you will define solutions with the team to achieve current and future customer and business needs.

You will stay informed of latest industry trends, technologies, best practices, and techniques - and will pragmatically incorporate what you learn into what we build and how we build it.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science with at least 2 years in Computer Vision and Robotics

Advanced proficiency in C++, MATLAB, Python

Strong understanding of computer vision and image processing tools and concepts (Open CV, CVAT, YOLO)

Capability to work with various programming languages proficiently

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Aptitude for analytical thinking and problem-solving

• Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility as a computer vision engineer is to explore, innovate, and implement cutting-edge computer vision automation for robotics

Research and analyze state-of-the-art algorithms within camera-based or LiDAR signal processing

Propose + gather + synthesize requirements to develop products and lead development roadmap

Conceptualize new algorithms or refine existing ones to introduce innovative functionalities

Develop code and product deliverables

Evaluate and endorse emerging technologies in partnership with leading industry suppliers

Enhance algorithm efficiency through analysis and optimization

Oversee the installation and testing of new products and system improvements

Manage and grow technical team of data scientists and engineers
