    Title:
    Nuclear Medicine Technologist

    Schedule:
    Mon-Fri, between 7am and 6pm (8-hour shifts, start/end times can vary). No weekends, no call, no holidays.

    Assignment Details:
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    • Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

    Requirements:

    • Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • NYS License
    • BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
    • 2 years experience preferred
    • CT certified and has PE/CT experience

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Review patient history and physician's orders and educate the patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
    • Position patients and perform imaging procedures while ensuring proper techniques related to patients' age and comprehension abilities.
    • Analyze results and identify issues with image quality, taking appropriate actions to resolve them.
    • Enter, transmit, and report scan results while complying with applicable protocols and regulations related to radiopharmaceuticals.
    • Continually monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status appropriately.
    • Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies in the Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms.
