- Function as 24-hour supervisor in a long-term care facility.
- Participates in multi-disciplinary staffing and coordinates nursing service activities with other health-related, therapeutic and support services.
- Selects, develops, and evaluates staff. Orients staff on institution/unit policies and procedures and schedules nursing staff to ensure 24-hour coverage.
- Provides professional nursing care, determines and coordinates appropriate consultations, and delegates routine nursing tasks to staff.
- Enforces standards of nursing practice and recommends unit and institution policies and procedures.
- Ensures completion of required nursing records. Counsels with relatives regarding residents' health, status, and care provided, and explains risks and benefits of patient treatment regimes.
- Licensed as a Professional or Registered Nurse in Idaho as defined by Idaho Code or state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code , in one of the following compact states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin.
