    The Opportunity

    Drives and leads Business Intelligence reporting project initiatives. Builds, maintains and enhances business applications, reporting, and analysis solutions with a focus on maintaining the integrity of the application, data, and system. Analyzes business operations to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post-implementation support and system enhancements. Provides ad hoc reporting and analysis that involve large scale and complex functions as requested. Utilizes Roche standard development tools while building expertise in SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, etc. Collaborates with stakeholders to identify upgrades and development of new functionality with current business applications. Performs data validation and other strategies that optimize efficiency, data quality and accuracy. Build expertise in the business unit(s) supported, and assist in business process redesign. Drives the development of standards and best practices for report and application design, guidelines and data integrity. Builds strong collaborative relationships with peers that includes timely feedback and communication to gain alignment.

    Who You Are
    • Bachelor's degree in a business, scientific or related field such as finance, marketing, MIS, IT, engineering
    • 6 + years of experience in a regulated or policy-heavy environment (e.g. diagnostics, medical devices, pharma, biotech, healthcare, financial services, legal, consulting, etc.)

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Strong written and oral communication skills - you can build analytical and decision support models, synthesize recommendations, and create effective presentations for all audiences including senior leaders.
    • Analytical, intellectually curious, excellent problem solver who is comfortable working with complex data and translating it into strategic recommendations.
    • Strong experience with SQL, Data workflow tools, and BI reporting tools High proficiency in data extraction and data visualization.
    • Strong stakeholder management, communication and change management skills.
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills to resolve a variety of routine and complex issues.
    • Ability to identify, drive and/or participate in implementing process improvement activities
    • Highly experienced with reporting, analytics, visualization and data management.
