- Assume responsibility for the day-to-day success of multiple projects, including serving as the technical project lead, acting as primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and project teams; training and mentoring teammates; and managing small-to-medium projects, as appropriate
- Perform on-site investigations, condition assessments, and construction administration, which may include documenting distress, performance evaluation, and field testing, collecting data and samples, and troubleshooting details
- Analyze field data and perform research and review of modern and historic construction documents, governing codes, and design guidelines to facilitate analysis, problem-solving, and repair design
- Complete analysis using a combination of hand calculations and analysis software
- Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final client deliverables, including written reports, calculation packets, structural construction documents, repair design details (developed by hand and in CAD), and project specifications
- Contribute to company-wide objectives through involvement in office and company development initiatives, in-house Technical Resource Groups (TRGs) and research projects, and relevant industry committees and professional organizations
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas or ability to obtain by comity; SE licensure a plus
- Master's degree in civil/structural engineering or related field; significant relevant expertise will be considered in lieu of an advanced degree
- Minimum five years of relevant structural engineering industry experience, with a demonstrated interest in civil infrastructure and/or problem-solving (e.g., failure/damage investigation; non-destructive evaluation and instrumentation; structural analysis and design for repair, retrofit, and rehabilitation of existing structures)
- Effective technical, graphical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Team player mindset with a willingness to proactively take on various roles and responsibilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing demands, while maintaining productive interpersonal relationships and a high standard of excellence, integrity, and attention to detail
- Ability to travel and attend meetings at various office, field, and construction sites
- Ability to perform inspections of buildings and other structures, both visually and with instruments
- Ability to safely work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a variety of occupationally hazardous locations, including outdoors with exposure to temperature extremes
- Ability to safely use and/or operate ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and other access equipment
- Ability to lift and carry materials, tools, and other heavy equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Medically fit to utilize respiratory protection devices and other forms of Personal Protective Equipment
- Ability to drive and safely operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and authorization to work and travel throughout the United States without restrictions

Annual starting base salary (gross): $93,000 to $122,000. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on several factors including consideration for a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base salary is one component of our total compensation package for employees.
