Job Type Full-Time Education Bachelor's Degree - Civil Engineering Job Description Horrocks Engineers has an immediate opening in our Spokane, Washington office for a full-time PE.
Job Responsibilities
Design and analysis of urban roadways, highways, shared-use trails and related infrastructure.
Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway projects using area standards
Coordinate design amongst all technical discipline leads
Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder management, and sub consultant coordination
Coordinate and work with a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects
Take ownership of projects from start to finish
Job Requirements
Bachelors degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
Professional Engineer in the state of Washington or Idaho or ability to obtain license within 6 months.
Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D required, and Microstation also desirable.
Experience with the plan preparation procedures and standards for local municipalities
Minimum of 4 years of experience with geometric design of urban roadways/highways
Experience with WSDOT or ITD is preferred
Experience with traffic, drainage and utility design a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our clients overall project goal
