- Must have a BSEE or BSEET degree (or equivalent experience) with 5 to 8 years of Electrical Engineering design expertise.
- Proficiency in reading schematic drawings and translating them into point wirings.
- Ability to apply UL/NFPA Standards for sizing/validating electrical components and cables.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Solidworks software.
- Knowledge in sheet metal design.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Detail-oriented with a teamwork mindset.
- Preferred experience in Panel Building and Power Distribution.
- Familiarity with NEC/NFPA79 codes is advantageous.
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

JOB TITLE: Electrical Engineering Designer at Mitsubishi Electric Automation
Under minimal supervision, the role involves designing and supporting Control Cabinets based on customer specifications. Collaborating with the Engineering Supervisor and Engineering Manager to create comprehensive control package designs that align with Mitsubishi Electric Automation's manufacturing standards and meet customers' needs.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate customer specifications, including schematic & cable drawings and electrical component lists.
- Develop, update, and modify electrical schematics and layout drawings to convey change recommendations to customers.
- Revise and adjust customer specifications to optimize material and labor costs.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely release of documentations for meeting delivery schedules.
- Prepare a complete system Bill of Materials (BOM) using SAP.
- Create assembly drawing packages based on customer requirements to facilitate prototype and assembly processes.
